Things to look for in Early 2019

Presence at the NM Legislative Session / A New NAMI Website & New NAMI Facebook Page, with major push to direct traffic to both of these online resources / Ramping up for NAMI Walks, The Kick Off Event on March 14th & NAMI Walks on May 11th / Continued around New Mexico: Weekly Recovery Support Groups, Family Support Groups, WRAP classes, Family to Family courses, Peer to Peer classes, In Our Own Voice presentation’s, C.I.T training at the Police Academies, and Educational Meetings…

After an exhaustive search, NAMI NM has finally found their New Executive Director, Heidi Grunberg.

Heidi is a permanent transplant to New Mexico, from The United Kingdom. A Graduate of The University of East Anglia, and Goethe University Frankfurt, holding degrees in Architecture, Commercial Interior Design, Business Management and Marketing. Heidi’s career has spanned both Corporate and Non Profit Organizations, in Europe and The U.S, most recently in Los Angeles with The Cesar Chavez Foundation. Heidi has a heart and passion for NAMI, as her brother Dirksen was a NAMI member, and she accompanied him to meetings, and volunteered with her brother. Eventually, Heidi’s brother ended his battled with PTSD and Depression, as did her Grandmother, Margret, and now Heidi is Thankful and Driven to head up NAMI in the beautiful State of New Mexico.

Heidi lives in the North Valley with her two Great Pyrenees Dogs, Inga & Axul, when she is not walking ‘Dos Pyrenees’ on the Bosque, Heidi likes to build furniture and is a theater buff.
